What Does Affordable Housing Mean?

Financial assistance is available to make both housing and hospitality services affordable. A single monthly charge includes:

• Rent for a private suite
• Hydro cost
• Basic cable in the suite
• Two meals a day
• Laundry facilities
• Housekeeping services
• Personal care services
• 24 hour emergency response system
• Access to recreational activities

Residents will pay no more than 70 % of your after tax income for this single monthly amount. For example; if income of the old age security is $1,020 per month, a resident would pay $714. for assisted living costs.
